Compliance Training

Current legal statutes require and highly recommend that all school district staff undergo training related to the topics below. Pearsall ISD is committed to ensure these requirements and recommendations are fulfilled. Therefore, we have provided online training programs to assist you with completing these requirements according to a schedule that best fits your needs. Special instructions and deadlines for each online training program is provided below. Thank you for your cooperation!

This year Compliance Trainings have transitioned to a new Learning Management System that will make it easier for staff to navigate through courses. I have attached a step-by-step Compliance Course Guide for you  on how to create an account and access the courses in the new LMS. In addition, a how-to video is available on the Personnel Services Website under the “2024-2025" Compliance Courses Resources Tab”. You will the need the District Code as part of the account creation process. Our district code is 082903. Due to Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) requirements, the Cybersecurity course content is approved for use 9-1-24 through 8-31-25.  Therefore, this course will be available for staff beginning September 1, 2024. As in previous years, all courses include quizzes which require an individual to receive a score of 80% to pass. An individual may retake the quiz as many times as needed to pass. Once an employee passes a course they will receive a prompt to print the certificate. You must use Google Chrome to access courses. Please be aware that ads following videos embedded in the Online Compliance Training Series are not supported by or endorsed by ESC-20. Courses must be completed prior to October 31, 2024(this includes the Cybersecurity course) in order to receive credit for the session(s). The following courses must be completed:

  • Bloodborne Pathogens

  • Cybersecurity

  • Child Abuse, Sexual Abuse & Maltreatment of Children

  • Sexual Harassment

  • Suicide Prevention

  • FERPA

  • Concussions for Coaches and Nurses
