Substitute Information
Pearsall ISD 2024-2025 Substitute Training:
All substitutes, current and new, must attend annual training. The training will be conducted online only . You must complete the quiz at the end of the training to be considered for hire. Apply online at www.pearsallisd.org Two forms of ID (e.g., driver’s license, birth certificate, social security card; one of the forms needs to be a picture ID) will be required to be uploaded when completing your onboarding paperwork. If you have college hours, official transcripts will need to be provided for verification. Applicants are required to get fingerprinted after the training through TEA.
You may be removed from the district's substitute roster for poor performance or misconduct. In addition, you may be removed from the substitute roster if:
You repeatedly turn down assignments, are repeatedly unavailable for calls, or frequently cancel assigned positions;
You do not accept at least 10 assignments per month throughout the school year;
Your assignments will be checked quarterly. Those who are not active will be deactivated and will have to reapply for the position.
