At Pearsall Independent School District our goal is to create a safe environment for all students and guests. On May 26, 2023, Pearsall Independent School District will be hosting our 2022-2023 senior class commencement ceremonies. I would like to inform our community and invited guests about some safety procedures that will be implemented as part of graduation.
Law enforcement will be present for the safety and security of the event.
I strongly encourage all attendees not to bring any bags unless absolutely necessary. All bags and persons will be subject to search. Those who wish to bring bags should expect delays at entry. A recommended option is to bring a clear bag. No weapons of any kind will be permitted on school grounds. Noise makers and horns will not be allowed as well. Please be advised that temperatures are projected to be in the nineties. Water will be available for sale at the concession stand.
This is indeed an exciting time for our students and parents. I ask that parents respect our speakers and students and refrain from entering the football field until the ceremony has concluded. At the conclusion of the ceremony, parents will be allowed on the football field to take pictures with their loved ones.
I urge our students to make safe decisions on graduation night regarding the things they do, and the actions they take. I would like to take this opportunity to personally congratulate all of our graduates and wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors. “Once a Maverick, Always a Maverick!”
